Laura, Burt, and Joel all have slightly different thoughts on slavery. Laura doesn’t really think about it and is kind of neutral, how ever she thinks that helping a fugitive slave is bad. Burt hates slavery and wants to help slaves escape to Canada. Joel also hates slavery, and also wants to help slaves escape to Canada
Well Laura dose not like that they are helping slavery but the boys Bert and Joel think that it is good to do the slavery.
